I try to vote in every election including the primaries and not once have I ever regretted whom I voted for because believe it or not I actually do my research. It was very frustrating when pretty much everyone around me criticized me for backing a certain candidate during the Democratic primaries earlier this year. All I have to say now is, ha! How do you like your candidate now?? I didn’t vote for him and wasn’t planning on voting for him and most certainly won’t vote for him come November.
No, that doesn’t mean I’m going to vote for the other guy.
Well, I pretty much told you who I’m voting for…kind of…you do realize there are way more than just two people on a presidential ballot, right? Although not all the third party and independent candidates have been announced yet, so we’ll just have to wait and see. The Libertarian Party has their candidate (sorry LP, not this time), and the Green Party will have theirs hopefully next week.
Thankfully there is one candidate whom I am very (very!) excited about. (Since I’ve already revealed to you too much of my political leanings, I guess it doesn’t matter if I reveal where I live.)

Mark Warner for Senate 2008!
I’m confused. Haha.

Haha, good for you! I was being ragged on for supporting Kucinich when he was in the running and I was being lambasted for not supporting Hillary. And now that both of them aren’t in the running, people expect me to vote Obama. And I’m just thinking, “You know, I have a mind of my own.”
Good on you for standing by your vote and voting outside the party lines and making a choice of your own volition. I wish we had more people who did that instead of voting based on what their party tells them to vote.
